Entering My Winter Arc

Just as the earth enters a quiet period of rest in the winter, I am trying to take advantage of everyone being silent and still to work on myself. It may sound late that I am joining the winter arc now, but technically winter starts December 20 and ends March 20, so we are still in the clear. A winter arc is to use the winter season to work towards physical and mental health. It is a challenge based on the idea that winter can be a time for growth and positive change, rather than being in hibernation with the season as well. It is important to take time for yourself to reset, refocus, and prepare for future growth.

Winter isn’t just about being still and stagnant; it is about slowing down and replenishing our inner selves. This is a great period of reflection and creating space for deeper insight. Although it is so freezing you might not be in the mood to do anything, it is good to remember to follow your goal, not your mood, this season. You are preparing for spring and future seasons of action.

Winter Arc Rules

• No phone after 10pm (8hr sleep)

• ½ -1 gallon of water daily

• 30-45 min workout (strength training or 12.3.30)

• 10k steps daily

• Journal prompt daily

• Read + pray devotionals every night

My main focuses during my winter arc are health, mental clarity, and faith. The list I designed is meant to fit my lifestyle and goals. I wanted to keep my goals simple and realistic. For me personally, I needed to get back to basics and start from there. In order to reach future goals for myself, I have to start with smaller daily habits to make a change.

The overall theme of my winter arc is staying locked in. I want to discipline my mind and body. I created a weekly check-in to help me stay on track. It makes me want to do better every day. Taking it day by day is helping me build inner strength and practice patience with myself. I can’t wait to see how these daily habits transform my life!

I would love to hear and share if you are partaking in a winter arc challenge this year. What are your goals? What motivates you? And how can we help each other stay consistent? Comment or message me!
